What are some books that are as intriguing and addicting as the Mortal Instruments series?

I just finished the Mortal Instruments series, and they have immediately hit the mark on my top ten list of favorite books. They were hard to put down, and I’m unhappy that I finished the series. Are their any books that are as addicting as these, perhaps in the same genre? (Science Fiction, Fantasy, Drama, Romance, Action/Adventure, etc.)

    The Power of 5 series by Anthony Horowitz is my favourite book series ever. At one point I stayed up until 5 in the morning reading the first book because I was hooked.

    I haven’t finished the series yet but from what I’ve read so far all of the books are brilliant. Action/Adventure is the genre I think.

    I highly recommend it.

    twilight.
    i know your probubly really tired of hearing that, but it really does fit into all those catagories!!! IT IS SOOO GOOD!!! i am on my third time reading it!!!

    Definitely check out the Gone Series by Michael Grant.

    1. GONE
    2. HUNGER

    The series will eventually consists of 6 novels. Grant has finished book 3 – LIES – but will not release it until summer ’10. He is starting to write book 4 – PLAGUE.

    The books are so good, i just can’t explain in words.
    They definitely fit in the genres that you listed. There is a little of everything on that list.

    OMG they are amazing right, they are in my top three fav’s.
    I loveeee Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, if you havent read it- READ IT.
    there are four books:
    1. Vampire Academy.
    2. Frostbite
    3. Shadow Kiss
    4. Blood Promise.

    Also… Evernight series by Claudia Gray
    1. Evernight
    2. Stargazer
    3. Hourglass.

    And at the moment i am reading Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine
    1. Glass Houses.
    2. Dead Girls Dance.
    3. Midnight Alley
    4. Feast Of Fools
    5. Lords Of Misrule
    6. Carpe Corpus.
    (i am only up to the first one, but they are pretty good so far.)

    To me these all fit into the Mortal Instruments Style. i loved all of them, so yeah!.

    I just finished reading The House of Night series which I wasn’t able to put down. Hunger games is another really good trilogy just starting out!
