I re-watched Inglorious Basterds and honestly think it’s a better film than Pulp Fiction. Everything about it is mind-blowing. I consider them both masterpieces, but I give Basterds the slight edge. There’s something about it. It’s a perfect example of a perfect movie. Of course Pulp Fiction will always be my favorite movie, though. Just tell me why Pulp Fiction is better.

i have tons of short stories but im finally ready to move on to my first fiction novel. I need some tips. Well, mainly on telling it. I tend to get too descriptive on objects, or people. And in conversations with characters i put “said” too much but i can’t think of another one for that either, i guess i have alot of problems. But i love to write.
When did the U.S. enter World War 2? When were troops deployed? When did troops begin returning back home?

I’m hitting the used paperback store Wednesday, looking for something I haven’t read yet… I’m looking for books that are fantasy or cross-genre rather than hard sci-fi, something that stands alone (or at most a trilogy) – I don’t want to end up searching for book 8 of the series… These are some really good suggestions! I’ve already read many of the suggested titles (the Kushiel trilogy is a favorite of mine, too) I’m going to be taking a list with me tomorrow, see what I can find. I’ll put this one up for a vote tomorrow =)

I saw an infomercial on the above named book and can only seem to find where to buy in online. I can’t buy it in stores and I also can’t find any helpful reviews that aren’t on the sight that is selling it. I don’t want to buy a book I have really been able to get enough information on that isn’t tainted by the sellers. Any suggestions?
