What genre do you query as if you fit in 3 different ones with one story?

I have been sending out queries for my manuscript to agents and publishers and they all want me to write what genre I am aiming for. But it fits in chick lit, womens fiction and fiction-genral lit. So I haven’t been writting one at all. I have just been making sure to send it to people who except all three. Is it important to write what genre or is it ok not to-as long as I send a SASE with my query letter? I am filling some out right now and I just saved some to my draft so I could edit them after your responses. Thank you for your answers!

A capacitor bank of 6000 kVAr is to be installed at 11kV bus of A. For the design of the inrush limiting reactor, two options are possible, namely: i. Damping reactor with 0.5% impedance; or ii. Detuned reactor with 6% impedance; For each of the above, calculate the inductance of inrush limiting reactor. Where should i start? Which equations should i use? From which book should i search them? Can anyone guide me?

the blue book price of a car i want to buy is $6200 and the seller is willing to sale it for $5000. based on what he says, the car is in very good condition and well maintained and clean title. assuming this is true, am i getting a good deal or simply paying what the car is really worth?

Well I’ve never had one of these before, but it sounds fun. So my question is: Any ideas of what I should put on my list? I like any kind of book except for the fantasy creature type books. So mystery, historical, drama, idk stuff like that is right up my alley. I guess anything would be wonderful thanks!! ps. have a great summer =)

I just finished reading “Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes” by Maureen Johnson. It kind of reminded me of the book “Thirteen Reasons Why” by Jay Asher. Does anyone have any good book suggestions in the genre of realistic fiction? I really enjoyed that the main character in “Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes” traveled all over Europe (I would really like a book that involves traveling in Europe. Especially England, Rome, and Italy) and in both books the main characters had to follow the instuctions of people who died and left behind recordings or letters with instuctions. I also wouldn’t mind and fantasy suggestions because “The House of Night Series” by Kristen and P.C. Cast was a great read and I am waiting to go and get the next book. I don’t like anything creepy and stupid like SciFi. Some people may like it (no offene to those people) but i can’t stand aliens or future crap. So if you could suggest a book the takes place in our time period and is not non-fiction at all that would be great! Thanks!!!! i like romances and books that take place in the 2000s because i dont like historic stories or nothin like that
