I’m planning on writing a book, any tips or ideas?
I’m only 14, so I’m not going to try to get it published or whatever… but… I”m planning on writing an actiony fiction book based on the missions and military life of Marine Scout Snipers. Anyone have any good writing tips, storyline ideas, anything?
Does anyone know of any fiction agents or publishers that may be taken on new talent?
I’ve posted a similar question earlier this week, but wanted to make sure I reached the weekend crowd of yahooers. I’ve written a fiction novel along the lines of Harry Potter and am looking to get it published. Already sent out 20 query letters and the one that was interested said the manuscript was too reminisent of Harry Potter. I’ve made adjustments and ready to send out again. Anyone have any tips to share. It would be much appreciated. Kind of a life long dream of mine, and I’m turning 40 soon and getting that wo-is-me feeling about my lifes accomplishments thus far. Any help would be appreciated.
What are some fun things to do with my aunt while she visits?
My aunt is here in town for the weekend. Tomorrow she said we could do some stuff. Like we’re gonna go down to this nice second hand shop in the town, we’re gonna go to the used book sale and she said we could go into town to a really cute clothing shop that’s closing up cause it has great sales on. Any other ideas of some stuff we could do? By the way, she’s much older than me but it probably better health so she’s up for lots of stuff. Not a movie though, I just went to see one today. Also I’m a teenager so I would hope anything you suggest, we could both enjoy.

What is the best adventure/mystery/historical/suspense/problem-solving game for mac?
I’m not a big “gamer,” but I played Riven years ago on my old OLD mac, and really enjoyed it. I’m looking for something along the same line, but perhaps with more characters and interaction. I used to have a demo of The Journeyman Project, and that was alright too. I like the idea of being immersed in a realistic “world,” historical or otherwise, when I play a game. Thanks in advance!
4 Books for Adventurers and Curious Minds
For those of you who love to read, and those of you who love adventure. For those of you who love travel, and those of you who love to fantasize. Here is a list of some great adventure reads and what Amazon customers had to say about them. 1.Tales from the Torrid Zone: Travels in the Deep Tropics by: Alexander Frater Review: “I am a keen reader of travel literature and have really enjoyed Frater’s previous books, ‘Beyond the Blue Horizon’ and ‘Chasing the Monsoon’.’Tales from the Torrid Zone’ is his best to date – an evocative account of his life and travels through different tropical regions. Sometimes you can feel the heat and colour of the tropics reaching for you from the page. I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in travel.” 2.Paradise Lost: Smyrna 1922- The Destruction of Islam’s City of Tolerance by: Giles Milton Review: “Milton paints a compelling picture of the calm before the storm; a rich, opulent city inhabited by a melting pot of different nationalities, religion and social stature including the privileged European Levantines. Juxtaposed against this Milton lays out the gathering storm clouds; an ambitious Greek Prime Minister, A Turkey at war with itself and the disinterest of the war-weary great powers. History has left Milton a cast of heroes, villains and astute observers that a novelist would envy.” 3.The Ten Most Beautiful Experiments by: George Johnson Review: “The anecdotes Mr. Johnson dishes up range from the charming to the engrossing. The thought of Isaac Newton poking around in his eye sockets with a blunt needle to see what effects this would cause, is, well, rather gross. There’s also plenty of room for details on character and contemporary circumstances of the ten protagonists: Galilei, Harvey, Newton, Lavoisier, Galvini, Faraday, Joule, Pavlov, Michelson and Millikan.” 4.Lost in the Jungle: A Harrowing True Story of Adventure and Survival by: Yossi Ghinsberg Review: “…Six hours later I put it down. I almost forgot I was reading a biography rather than a novel. Ghinsberg manages to transport you back to the event with such ease and fluidity that you can’t help but continue to read… At every turn for the worst my heart began to race, I kept all my lights on, just in case fire ants happened to be lurking in my living room. I recommend this book to readers of non-fiction and fiction alike. Ghinsberg’s story is truly disturbing and will rival any good thriller.”
Lisa Olson’s Pregnancy Miracle Truthful Review
To say that Lisa Olson’s Pregnancy Miracle has some sort of magic formula to help you get pregnant would be deceptive, at best. To say that the methods within the pages of Pregnancy Miracle hold some promise to help you to become pregnant if you are having a difficult time getting pregnant would be more accurate but as the saying goes, there really isn’t anything new under the sun. What Pregnancy Miracle actually offers is indeed valuable advice that is gathered from many different sources. Natural and holistic methods that have been proven to help couples overcome infertility are included while advice that has shown little or no promise has been excluded. Old wives tales and methods that just don’t help only get in the way of achieving your goal of becoming pregnant in the shorted period of time. While it is true that there is nothing new under the sun and you could study holistic and natural methods of overcoming infertility yourself, who has the time to do so and how are you to know what the truth is and what is fiction. After all, it took Lisa Olson 14 years to compile the information that she has to share with you in Pregnancy Miracle. She not only tested her methods on herself but also in a control group of infertile couples before releasing her book. Do you have 14 years to sort through what works and what doesn’t? And where to find all of this valuable information on holistic methods of overcoming infertility and Traditional Chinese Medicine? How many books do you think you would need to buy to cover these subjects adequately? Of course, the internet is full of information on natural methods of overcoming infertility and Traditional Chinese Medicine but how long do you think it would take for you to sort through all of this information and separate the good information from the bull? So, while Lisa Olson’s Pregnancy Miracle can not absolutely guarantee that you will become pregnant it has been proven to be the difference between success and failure for many couples who have followed the advice within its pages. Some couples used only a portion of the methods offered and were able to conceive while others jumped in the deep end of the pool and reported that they were able to become pregnant even when medical science had said that there was little chance of them bearing a child… so call “unexplained infertility”. The simple popularity of Pregnancy Miracle should speak to the effectiveness of the methods that Lisa Olson preaches but one thing to keep in mind is overall customer satisfaction. By and large, those that have followed the teachings of Lisa Olson have been satisfied with not only the information in Pregnancy Miracle but also in the personal one-on-one support that is offered with this book. In order to completely answer all of your questions, whether it be in understanding the content of the book or questions concerning your own particular circumstances, you will receive access to the author herself, who has been exactly in your position and who will be able to assure you or point you in the right direction if you have any reservations or problems. Overall, you should find that Lisa Olson’s Pregnancy Miracle is a very good comprehensive guide to natural and holistic methods of overcoming infertility including methods based upon Traditional Chinese Medicine. It has helped other couples to become pregnant quickly and easily so why couldn’t it help you also?
