Hoping to open a used book store in which people can trade in their used paperbacks. Want to have new books later and maybe a coffee shop but at first will just be the book exchange. Any ideas?

How do people make money selling books online for two and three cents?

I have noticed on amazon dot com, that used books are sometimes for sale for incredibly low prices. There is usually a $2-$3 shipping fee. Do these folks have a deal with the shipping? Why is it worth anyone’s time to sell a book for three cents? Example.. as of august 10,2010.. search on amazon for “games people play” and sort on price from low to high. There are 2 books for one cent. How is this worth it?

I need to read a historical fiction novel for my world history class and I’m looking for a book that has to do with Cambodian history, preferably the Khmer rouge revolution or the genocide. It must be historical fiction, not a memoir. Please help! I don’t want to end up reading about WWII like everyone else. Thanks.

I’m 17 and almost out of high school and I am realizing that I don’t read AT ALL. I don’t know about any of the current books. All I read are newspaper articles and magazines really. I love reading but I have stopped since growing out of the preteen fiction novels. So, what are some good bestsellers at barnes and noble which will get me interested in reading again? *i don’t tend to like romance, but im thinking about reading twilight Thanks

I need a historical fiction book about World War 2 or the Vietnam War. It needs to have American soldiers as the main characters. If it is WW2 then I want a book about the fight in Japan, Pacific Ocean, or Pearl Harbor.

I read a lot and I was looking at Book Pages and I realized that many of the reviews were of books that I have no intention of reading. Many authors get famous because their books catch the public’s fancy, not because the publishers or literary agents like them. Who agrees with me? I see the young girls and young women go to the bookmobile and empty the shelves of fiction. So somebody reads fiction. The publishers say fiction is ot selling. I don’t think they know what’s up. Many authors are self publishing now.

Looking for a publisher who will read thoroughly a book i’ve written and give me feedback, preferably in England. if you can help i’d really appreciate it. also if you’d like to read my book, contact me and i’ll send it to you through e-mail. the book is science fiction, 94 (microsoft word 14 font) pages long and includes 10-11 chapters. the book contains a bit of violence, romance(but not hardcore sexy scenes) and plenty of adventure. the way i write is i have one story with a certain plot, then i write another one with the same characters and the same past and every thing, but a different plot and adventure. thank you so much for your answers! **i just changed computers today, so in about 2 days i’ll be able to send the story to you finished if possible, i’m not too good at saving things, but i’ll do my best. thank you.**
